Hidden to most Americans, pneumonia takes the lives of more young children around the world than any other disease – 5,500 children younger than five die each day from pneumonia. Yet affordable and effective solutions are available to keep these children alive.

The Best Shot Foundation is dedicated to protecting the world’s poorest children by funding immunization and health treatments and igniting an international movement to prevent childhood pneumonia. Over the next five years, working in partnership with leading organizations, Best Shot will play an instrumental role in a worldwide effort to save one million children each year who would otherwise be lost to pneumonia and will support other global actions to protect children.
